Hi! I'm Betty (she/her), and I am passionate about supporting others as they create healthier lives.
I am from Omaha, NE (US), recently graduated from Creighton University with a Masters of Science in Health and Wellness Coaching (May 2020), and am now a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). In 2019, I was selected from a competitive application pool and invited to the Dalai Lama Fellowship global community and am now a Life Long Fellow. The Life Long Fellowship community supports contemplative leaders as we navigate the challenges of living and leading in alignment with our core values and commit to community-led social advocacy.
My way to wellness began in 2011 as I was wrapping up my undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies at University of Nebraska, Lincoln. It became clear that we humans are the Earth and that our wellness is the Earth's wellness. My environmentalism work shifted from being a steward of the Earth to a steward of Self. I became passionate about healing work and walking with others as they discover their way to wellness. Lifestyle Medicine provides the opportunity for me to do so in a way that honors the Earth and the individual needs of my clients.
My full work history includes: environmental studies, production gardening, hospitality, yoga and meditation instruction, therapeutic massage (LMT), and operations management.
